The Outsiders is a stage play written by Christopher Sergel based on the novel of the same name by S. E. Hinton.

The Outsiders is a full length play in two acts with a playing time of about two hours. The play was published in 1990 by Dramatic Publishing, a publishing company for stage plays founded in 1885 and held by the Sergel family.

Darry | The oldest Curtis brother, 20 years old, has been caring for his brothers since their parents died in a car crash. |
Sodapop | The middle Curtis brother, 16 years old, high school dropout, works at a gas station, dating Sandy. |
Sandy | 16 years old, Sodapop's former girlfriend. |
Cherry | A soc, 16 years old, Bob's girlfriend, befriend's Ponyboy and Johnny, bestfriends with Marcia. |
Marcia | A soc, 16 years old, Randy's girlfriend, befriends Two-Bit, Cherry's bestfriend. |
Mrs. O'Briant | Member of the burnt down church. |
Jerry | Member of the burnt down church. |
